Course Description:
We will meet at the Rathaus Spandau, the big city hall, the symbol of Spandau. We will start the journey by turning to the River Havel, close to the next sight, the Batardeau, an old construction that controls the water in the canal around the Altstadt, the Old Town. There, we will practice pronunciation. After that, we will walk past one of the oldest Fachwerkhaus buildings towards the Markt, the market square, to see the weekly market and to turn into a small street leading to Karstadt, the huge mall. You will have some vocabulary challenges to solve there. In a short while, we will walk a few steps to the Kunstremise, a small square for diverse artists. There, in front of the former horse stables, we will learn some grammar. After that, we will walk along the Jüdenstraße, the Jewish Street, and order a cup of wonderful coffee at the Kaffee26. We will continue our walk to the south, past the Gothisches Haus and Lindenufer and cross the bridge to the Zitadelle, the famous fortress, where we will practice our conversational skills. After that, we will return to the Old Town and end our journey at the U-Bahn-station Altstadt Spandau.
Small changes in the route due to weather or current situation may happen…
